The purpose of this web page is traslate in to English some of the information about facinating World of Pro-Wrestling,
so l decided to share some part of my life.

(Only English)
l was born in 1954 to the first wife of My Father. She is half Mexican half Japanese. Her name is Lucina Mar Maeda.l don't have any pictures of Her so l don't remember what She looks like.My parents got divorced and My Father tookme to live with My Grandmother who was living in Leon Guanajuato when l was only ten months old.l don't rememberthe details but My Father married,His second wife and my half Sister was born. When she turned two or three years old my Father also brought Her to live with my Grandmother.Sometime after this,My Father got married for the third time but didn't have any children whit this wife.My Father always lived in Mexico City and l only got to see Him when He came to Leon Guanajuato for Wrestling matches. We always looked forward to His visits because He brought lots of presents and spending money for us.l was a good student but in 1966 My Grandmother had a heart attack and died. My Father took My Sister and l to live with Him in Mexico City, but He was never home and His current wife didn't like My Sister and l. After only six months My Sister left the house and never saw Her again until My Father passed away in 1993. l tried to live in their house but that woman didn't like Me so l decided to leave home too. l went back to leon with My family but everybody told me that if l was going to live there l need to find a job. It was difficult finding work whit no have any experience and even when l found a job it only paid enough for a one meal a day.l tried a lot of different work but never made much money so l decided to try to become a Professional WRESTLER. l went to the arena to talk to my father's friend about myplans, l asked them to teach me but they all told me things like, "You Father is a big Wrestler and very professional, l don't think you have a chance at making it, You are too young and skinny, You'd better try something else" l said " l'm strong Give me a chance and watch me train or pretend to train because l don't have any free weights or access to a ring I'll take my bumps on the floor, But nobody said anything, they wouldn't give he a chance, This angered me so much that, l decided to go back to Mexico City and give it a try. All the members of my family are WRESTLERS that got there start in Leon city and continued their careers in Mexico city after they made some money and became FAMOUS. When I returned to Mexico City, I was already drinking and smoking. I was scared though because my father is very strict about things like that, I try to quit but I couldn't. Let me explain about the alcohol and smoking. I was 14 year old and I lived whit my father, brother, and his family in Leon Gto. I was working from 6:00 in the morning to 6:00 or 8:00 P.M. seven days a week, only for enough money to eat and to pay for a place to sleep, I remember times when I didn't have any money, I even couldn't get home so i had to sleep in the factory. Everybody that stayed in the factory smoked and drank, They sometimes gave me alcohol, cigarettes, fod or money. One day I drank a little and smoked a couple cigarettes whit the guys before returning home, I was quite happy until my father and brother caught me and checked my body for cigarettes, My father asked what my favorite brands of cigarettes and booze were,I say tequila and Raleight and he told me to buy one carton of cigarettes and two bottles of Tequila for him, I refused but some else in the family went to the shop, anyway, after he got this stuff he put two cigarettes in my left hand, and two more in my right hand and told me to smoke the whole carton! It took hours! When I finished I was sick but he have me a glass and say, "Now you drink these two bottles of tequila" I was scared because he was a Wrestler and I had great respect for him, so I started drinking and drinking, I remember very clearly what he say that night, "After this, you can't drink and smoke anymore" I was really sick for a couple days and really hide the alcohol and cigarettes, the problem was my friends at the factory, when got together with them I went back to drinking and smoking. I soon told my father about my plans to become a Wrestler and he said "No! this job is for strong people, It is very difficult and is better for you to study now, If you have time, work in my restaurant." I agreed because I was tired of working and still not having money, I try to study in the morning and work at the restaurant in the afternoon. My life charged quite a bit then, I have a home, I studied and even had some money. Everything was good until my father caught me when drinking and smoking again. He toll me that If I wanted to stay in the house I'd have to pay rent starting NOW! I had to pay him half of my days earnings right then. I didn't matter though. I matured a lot that day. I told him again about my plans to become a Wrestler and he only said "NO" I only saw my father a couple days a week but when he was home we always spend a lot of money. When he come home he liked to rest, drink, and eat good. We had a nice car when he was home too so that was very nice. Even thought my father didn't want me to come into his world, I decided to do whatever it took to become a Wrestler. Life was so nice when he was home and I knew that I wanted to have the same kind of lifestyle in the future. I remember that I weighed just 69 kg at the time, I went to small gym and toll the people about my plans, They all told me that I need to put on more weight, I was lucky because I worked in my father's restaurant and I cool eat a lot for free. In this time is when my father teach me about cooking, and I remember when my father say "If you cooking good, you never have hungry" and start study my father recipes, I start training but the guy in the gym knew my fatherand told him about what I was doing one day. When he heard about this he just said "FOLLOW ME" one day and took me to the ARENA MEXICO. The first day he put me strong a ten hour training session, these only lasted for three day though (Thank God) The first day gave a high fever and I had to go to bed as soon as I got home so that I'd get enough rest for day two. The next day my father come to me and asked, "You still want to be a wrestler?" I say yes and we went straight to the gym again, this day was terrible, I didn't have any energy and my father called me into the ring and gave my first lesson in wrestling, It was so hard that I honestly cried. Now remember this is only when my father and I go to the ring together in my life, why? I stay think about this. After training I went to the doctor, I remember him giving me a BIG injection of vitamins, they called BOMBA, I ate something and went straight to the bed again that evening. The third day my father came in first thing in the morning and say, "Stand up! If you're going to become a wrestler, it's time to go to train, If not, take a rest." I have a fever but I went to the gym anyway. When I went to the gym I was very scared because many friends of my father were waiting for me. My first impression was "These guys are going to kill me" but my father told me the guys were my friends and from that day on, they'd be my teachers, "You listen to very single one of these gus alright?" my father said. I had officially started my training to become a professional. I remember a lot of my father's friends by name: Rafael Salamanca, El Satanico, Casique Mara, Alfonso Dantes, Perro Aguayo and many others guys, after couple months I surprise when some body say this guy are El Solitario, Anibal, El Hijo del Santo, Doberman, Rey Cobra, Panico and couple youg guys. Now in my dreams I still remember steping up and douwn for hours whit these guys from the ARENA MEXICO.Arena Mexico, this arena is considered the Mecca of Lucha Libre, it's here that hundreds and hundreds of wrestlers are trained, and it's here that top wrestlers are born. Many wrestlers from different countries come here for training, techniques and practice. The style here is unique to the world. It's here, where I was born. Many hard days came, many hard days left, but I thought “if born again I come to be Wrestler”. My training programs were completed after 8 months there. I wanted to make my pro-debut in some building of this company's but my father said not to. He told me to resist the temptation for the first year because it'd be better for to start in some arena around Mexico city. He introduced me to Mr. Flores, president of UWA, the second biggest company at that time. When the president of this company looked at me, the first thing he said to me was, “ You father is a great wrestler, I hope YOU become better them him. So you are already to debut this week?" My first thought was to say no, but being in front of my father I just said, “Yes, I'm ready.” The next week on Wednesday I debuted with Mr. Bronze in the second match at the arena Algusto, actually arena Naucalpan, I remembered, this was one of my dreams, and this day I promised myself to go to the top of all my family. This day they promised $50.00 Pesos (one dollar x old 90.00 pesos) and the chance to come again every Sunday for the first three months. I working in this arena every Wednesday and Sunday. Why is my ring name are kuroneko? I remembered my father telling me, "Your ring name is Huroki Sito Jr." but I didn't think this name was big enough for me. At the time, Masanobu Kurisu and Gran Hamada from New Japan Pro-Wrestling were in Mexico and living close to my home. These guys gave me some magazines from Japan everytime they visited. One of them was for children and I saw many animals inside it. When I saw the cats I said my ring name should be “Shironeko”. But because my face looks Japanese and my skin is dark my father said that ” kuroneko” is better for you and your style. From this day on, everybody's called me Kuroneko. The first year was an easy pace. I’m went to many cities in Mexico and worked with many wrestlers. The second year my life changed 100%. My name went to the top and I had the opportunity to work with the most famous top wrestlers in Mexico. I don’t know why. Maybe my father recommended me or maybe I earned it on my own, but I worked almost everyday and my pockets were full of money almost all of the time. My life changed too much but I was very happy. At this time, many wrestlers from Japan had come to Mexico. Mr. Shibata, Yamamoto Kotersu, Hoshino Kantaro, Kimura Kengo, Satoru Sayama, Fujinami Tatsumi and many wrestlers whose names I can’t remember. I always looked up to these guys because they were all bigger and so strong. They worked with my father. One day Mr. Sima. the director from NJPW came to Mexico and visited the gyms. On the day he came to the gym where I was training, Mr. Sima talked to me. He said that he would be having lunch with Mr. Flores and couple more people tyhe next day, and to please join them. Of course I said yes. The next day at the restaurant I was surprised because only five people were at the table. After eating Mr. Flores told me that Mr. Sima needed somebody to go to Japan for the next 6 months, for training in the Japanese style and some work. He said, "I choose you, what you think?" My only thought was, “Say yes!” but said I needed to talk to my father before I could make my decision. Well I went back home and told my father about it and he said, "Are crazy or what? This chance won't come again." So we quickly went to the hotel and meet with that man and said okay. The news of this got around to the wrestlers very fast. I remember very clearly when I went to work in some arena, Mil Mascaras asked me, "Why are you going to that country? They are brutal, they'll slap you in the face for nothing, and the training is too heavy. It's very hard, and the wrestlers, every single one of them are too big for you. It's better for you to stay in Mexico and enjoy this life." This really did make me think. But the promise that I made to myself pushed me and I started training in Mexico, getting ready for Japan. I arrived in Japan two weeks before the first Tiger Mask (Satoru Sayama) debuted. I remember everybody was out on the tour. Only Mr. Hirata S. stayed in the dojo. He showed me the Japanese guy's costumes the next day. That was so funny. I remember trying to train hard in Mexico, but when I got to Japan, the first day I had 300 hundreds squats. The next day I walked like a robot. I made my Japan debut one week later on the last day of the tour. The first Tiger Mask was debuting and Mr. Sima called me to the wrestling room. He said, “Well now you are in Japan. Training with Tiger Mask is why you are here.” That's how I started my beautiful life here in Japan. I'd like to mentioned that a couple years ago, I heard that Mr. Fujinami Tatsumi recommended me to the office. Thanks Fujinami-san. Thank you Mr. Sima. And thanks to all the members of New Japan Pro-Wrestling for giving me that chance. This April I'll have my 20th Anniversary here in Japan and the next year 2002, my 25th Anniversary as a wrestler. After working here for 6 months I went back to Mexico and started working there again. But after two months I got a phone call from Japan. They said they needed me in Japan full time. Well, back to Japan I went. I trained with all the wrestlers everyday. We practiced new moves for Tiger Mask who was the most popular wrestler after Antonio Inoki at the time. All the wrestlers in this company are too kind. They taught me everything. Thanks guys! When I came back for the second time in Japan, the company also got another guy from Pakistan. I don't remember his name but I remember he didn’t like Japanese food and went back to home after only a month. After this guy left, Yamazaki Kazuo, who came in the dojo one month before me, and was my roommate, started a nice relationship with me. He always tried to help and teach me the Japanese language and I taught him Spanish. Two years before I came to Japan, in Mexico I had a hair vs. hair match. That meant that if lost the match, I had to keep my head shaved for five years! So when I came to Japan I looked like a very “bad boy." Well, Yamazaki -san was helping me shave my head and one day and I said, "Why not shave your head too?" I shaved his head that day and everybody called us “Shironeko & Kuroneko.” After several months of training, Yamazaki made his debut in Fukuoka city, and I had the honor of working with my friend in his first match. Now, do to some health problems, he's left this business, but he stays in my heart just like he did 20 years ago. Now I'd like to talk a little about the training in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. When I came to Japan I thought the training was too easy. Well, at that time Mr. Karl Gocht was the trainer master in the dojo. Everyday we started training at 10:00 a.m. Normally the training finished up at 1 o'clock. After a break, Mr. Gocht, Inoki-san, Funinami-san, Fujiwara-san, Satoru Sayama- san, Maeda-san Takada and me (some days different guys) stayed and started training again. From squats to shooting on the ring, normally the top guys taught the young boys holds. Everyday the young guys were tired. The training sometimes went on for 6~8 hours. This is fine now, after hard training almost everybody goes on to the top in this company or some other company in this business and makes good money. I remember many times I almost quit because of the harsh training, but I stayed because of my father. I remember it was not only me either, some guys left from the ring almost in tears, but the teachers said to put those guys back in the ring and everybody put the guy in the ring again. Too many boys are quit when everybody was sleeping, and many stayed. Now I remember sometimes counting my squats. One day I decided to challenge myself and managed 6,834 squat’s in one set. Another day I tried push ups and had 2,500. Sounds incredible right? But I know guys that could do better than that. Not all the times are hard though. After training we enjoyed good food and drink. Anything you like. I thought the tours were harder. The tours last for 7, 8 or 9 weeks and have we only have one day off a week or one every ten days. This is hard. Before matches everybody trains together, two hours minimum and after the matches, what do you think about this? One thousand squats and 2-300 hundred push-ups and sparring for more than 30 minutes before match everyday. This is HARD! Why now my ring name is Black Cat? Well every time when go to the ring the people make fun and call me Kuroneko Yamato Takyubin (like DHL in U.S.) and Mr. Sakaguchi say change your name to English. I don't remember all of the times, but sometimes the ring announcer calls me Kuroneko and sometimes Black Cat. Recently they only call me Black Cat but the fans and friends call me Kuroneko, Kurochan or just Cat. Now new techniques are developing and the changing all over the world. All the time expended in my old days training are inside of my heart for me and for my pride. I continue training and stay in good condition. Many years ago when a lot of guys went back to All-Japan Pro-Wrestling, my company had a hard time for a while. This is when the office talked to Mr Arakawa and me about training the younger guys. I remember Muto Keiji, Hashimoto Shinja and Chono Masahiro came in and how hard it was training these guys with people who didn't have any experience in the ring. Many more guys who now are the big stars in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. This is my 21th year in NJPW I've had the opportunity to go and work in many countries, here are some: Guatemala, many city’s of U.S.A. S. Korea, N. Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, England, Anman, Iraq, and I even visited some like Amsterdam, Holland,Paris, Cuba, Alaska, Canada. Title’s? Oh yes, but I put these in my memories and photo albums. Good experiences? Many, I'd like to mentioned one. When I went to N. Korea for two days. I never saw anything like that before and never will again. Can you imagine 360,000 people in an arena two days? I don't think so, it’s incredible. Satisfactions? Too many, but the best is when the wrestlers that I train say “thanks Cat.” Injures? Of course, but one of my bad injuries occured last year when the tendon of my knee broke. Same injury this year, and nobody thinks I'll be back in the ring. Goals? Couple, back to the ring, stay happy with my family and stay healthy. I'd like to have my own personal gym too. Who needs more? This is my history, I have too much to talk about, to write, to teach, when have I have time I think I'll write a book of my memories. Now I have only one thought, stay in line, and this one and only advice I have to give to many of the guys who'd like to become a Pro-wrestler. Some people come for money, some for the good life, some for glory, but the real pro-wrestlers are born with the feeling and it's not important what type of body he has.
